Independent Social Security Law Handbook

For many years, the Welfare Rights Centre published the Independent Social Security Law Handbook and provided quarterly online updates to subscribers. The most recent hardcopy edition, edition number 7, was published in September 2012. Sadly, due to the funding cuts which have affected the Welfare Rights Centre, and many other community legal centres, we have had to cease publication of what was an iconic and highly valued resource. We will be revisiting this decision in the future, and if funding becomes available we will consider recommencing publication. For questions or to provide feedback, or if you wish to purchase a copy of the 2012 7th edition of the Handbook, you can email us at
