The Welfare Rights Centre provides free legal advice on social security matters to all residents of NSW. We provide advice and assistance over the phone.

We currently have three telephone advice intake shifts per week at the following times:
Monday: 9.30am – 12.30pm
Wednesday: 9.30am – 12.30pm
Thursday: 1.30pm – 4.30pm
If you are seeking advice please call during these times. We can arrange interpreters if needed. If you are unable to get through to us please try again at a different time.
We understand that calling may be difficult for some people. You are welcome to send us an email, however be aware that it may be a week or more before we are able to respond to your inquiry.
Please note that we only provide advice and assistance to NSW residents (with exception of members of the superfund HESTA). If you do not reside in NSW and or you are not a HESTA member, please visit https://ejaustralia.org.au/legal-help-centrelink to find your local community legal centre who can help you with your Centrelink problem.
